First of all I believe that when you are ready to secure the Partnership it becomes easier, that's why it's imperative that you have a high converting AUTOMATED funnel...starting with the humble Lead Magnet.
When you focus on Partnerships you are looking at the Traffic side of your business. Essentially you are creating another channel of leads.
But if you've got a bucket with holes in it, adding more water isn't going to help you and it's going to be detrimental to any Strategic relationships that you are trying to foster.
Which is why it's important that even though you have a service based business that you either have or are open to having a product as part of your business. It might also interest you to know that statistically it's rarely the first product on which you make the money, it's often the second..which you may have not even thought of yet.

This could be you as the business owner or it could be a highly engaged BDM or even a lead sales rep, basically it needs to be someone that isn't afraid of picking up the phone and someone that can follow a system. It needs to be someone that is both results driven but who also sees the long term benefit in nurturing potential Strategic Partners.
As you can see building Strategic Partnerships is about doing a lot of little things consistently to make sure you're ready to secure the deal of a lifetime... or a few if you are serious.
